Overview

Instructure, the maker of Canvas, has recently updated its Instructure Community website platform. As a result, many previous links to Canvas guides and help articles have changed, and old links no longer work.

Action items

Please check any Canvas guide links you may have included in your Canvas site. These links are commonly found in pre-course module overviews for students, e.g. instructions for posting on discussion boards, managing notification settings, or submitting assignments.

On the Using Course Technology page:

• Bookmark the Canvas student guide

• Set or change your default email address

• update your notification preferences

• “This is how Panopto will recognize your Canvas account. See instructions here”

In the Student Introductions discussion:

• Both links on the page, (Click here for instructions on how to post to a Canvas discussion) and (Click here for instructions on how to record or upload a video introduction in a Canvas discussion)
