Mac Shared Drive Access Path Update Instructions
There have been some updates that will require a modification to the shared drive paths that you use for access on your Mac computer.
Step 1:
Click the Finder Icon on the lower left on the task bar

From the menu at the top of the screen, click “Go” and select “Connect to Server” from the dropdown menu

Step 2:
In the window, you should see you frequently-visited shared drives, which are saved as your “Favorite Servers”
They will be in the format of “smb://nursing.upenn.edu/data/(Drive Name)/(Folder Name)”
You will want to select each drive and replace the “nursing.upenn.edu/data” with “nur-kite.upenn.edu” in the naming convention.
For example:
(OLD) “smb://nursing.upenn.edu/data/users/johndoe” ->
(NEW) “smb://nur-kite.upenn.edu/users/johndoe”

Step 3:
Once you’ve changed the name in the entry field, hit the “+” in the lower left corner of the window to save the new server name; highlight the old server names and click the “-“ button to remove them.

Step 4:
The process for accessing the drive once the name has been updated remains the same. Select the shared drive you’d like to access and hit “Connect”. The credentials for access will be your Pennkey (which should be pre-populated) “@kite.upenn.edu”, and your Pennkey password.
