Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is the practice of hosting a desktop operating system within a virtual machine (VM) running on a centralized server. VDI is a variation on the client/server computing model, sometimes referred to as server-based computing.
ITS, in conjunction with our service partner, Information Systems & Computing (ISC), is presenting our Virtual Desktop Environment. The VMware Horizon client will provide reliable access to applications from both your Nursing domain desktops and home devices, with access to data stored on our network shared drives. You will also be able to access VDI through a web browser.
